Ahh, yes, Gohan does have ample family and friends! Here's where you'll find out all about them. Well, not all of them, I mean he makes friends with wild animals and stuff, but I don't think I'd have the room or time to go into all of them. I am excluding very minor characters that are only seen in say, one episode unless they were pivotal in Gohan's life development. For Gohan's info, go to the section devoted to that obviously called, "Gohan's Bio" (use the nav bar on the left) Immediate family: Goku (father): Main character in the entire Dragonball series. Goku is the strongest warrior on Earth and frequently in the entire universe. First to go super saiya-jin. A full-blooded saiya-jin who is sent to Earth as a baby. Is recovered by an old man named Son Gohan who adopts Goku and gives him his name (his original name is Kakarrot). Goku becomes kind and peaceful after a nasty fall that gives him a serious whack on the head.Is trained by Son Gohan Sr. and Master Roshi in the Kame style of martial arts alongside his best friend, Krillin. Marries ChiChi. His real father, Bardock was one of the finest saiya-jin scientists and also the first to realize Frieza's threat to their home planet. Goku reaches super saiya-jin 4. ChiChi (mother): Originally a princess and daughter to the Ox King. Met Goku as a child and immediately knew who she wanted for a husband. Marries Goku immediately after a tournament. She is also a fighter trained in the Kame style of martial arts. Mother to both Gohan and Goten. Main influence on Gohan's destiny to become a scholar. Most "feared" character in the series, even Goku cowers around her. Goten (brother): Gohan's younger brother by 9 years and an exact replica of what Goku looked like as a child. Not very bright (like his father). Goten idolizes his older brother. Grows up to be lazy and interested in cell phones and dating. Is best friends with (chibi) Trunks and can perform the Fusion technique with him to form Gotenks. Reached super saiya-jin at a very young age (before age 7), but only attained level 1 except when in Fusion where as Gotenks, can attain level 3. Ox King (grandfather): Father to ChiChi and grandfather to Gohan and Goten. He seems to be there for the Son family whenever needed such as when Goten was born. Is a kind a loving grandfather to Gohan. Is also a King (of what?) and a warrior in his own right. Mr. Satan (father in-law): Earth's "champion". Father of Videl, Gohan's future wife. Vital character during the Buu and GT sagas when his popularity with Earth's people becomes a useful tactic. Is a decent fighter, but embellishes and exaggerrates his abilities and usually cowers in the face of danger. Mostly bark, very little bite. Satan City is named after him. Videl (wife): Mr. Satan's only child. She is a very capable fighter and a champion of justice both with the Satan City police force then later as Gohan/Great Saiyaman's partner.First meets Gohan at age 18 when he begins to attend school at Orange Star High in Satan City. Is the first to discover Great Saiyaman as being Gohan and blackmails him into joining the tournament and teaching her how to fly in exchange for his cover remaining a secret. She also figures out that Gohan is the boy from the Cell Game and can make his hair change into the golden color. Eventually becomes his girlfriend and later marries him. They have a daughter, Pan. Pan (daughter): Only known child of
Gohan and Videl. Seen as a very potent fighter at age 4 then
later at age 14. One of the main characters in the GT series.
She is 1/4 saiya-jin, but full of fight. She's aggressive, rude,
and disrespectful and very unlike her calm, over-respectful parents.
At age 4 she attends a tournament and even wins several rounds
against adults, including her Uncle Goten! Close supporting friends: Bulma: One of the original main characters and one of the first to ever meet Goku. She's a teen in the original Dragonball series. Heiress to the Capsule Corporation and its fortune. She's snooty, spoiled, and shows courage in the strangest of events such as standing up to the saiya-jin prince, Vegeta. Has two children fathered by Vegeta though it is uncertain if she and Vegeta are officially married. Creates the Great Saiyaman costume for Gohan. She is most noted for a Capsule Corp. device called the Dragon Radar and the many vehicles and hair styles she has. Yet another female to be feared. She, like ChiChi, has learned how to control the mighty saiya-jin males. Vegeta: the mighty saiya-jin Prince and only other full-blooded saiya-jin left alive. Originally "evil", he slowly turns "good" as the series progresses. Always slightly behind Goku in progress of power levels, he eventually reaches super saiya-jin 4 as well. Gohan is one of the first to defeat him (while in Oozaru/ape form) then again by trickery (hiding a dragonball from Vegeta). Gohan takes a blast intended for Vegeta and saves Vegeta's life during the Cell Game and takes a serious injury as a result, making his left arm completely useless in his continued battle with Cell. Vegeta lives with Bulma on Earth and fathers Trunks and Bra. Trunks (future/Mirai): Son of Vegeta and Bulma. Comes 20 years into the past to help deal with the Androids and Cell. Originally trained by the Gohan in his timeline. In his timeline, he is also the last surviving warrior, all the others were killed by the Androids and he never got to know his father until travelling into the past. Shy, quiet, and very mannerly, he is very much like Gohan in personality. Trunks (present): This son of Vegeta and Bulma is the same Trunks as above, but this one was just a baby when future Trunks arrived in the past. With future Trunks back in his own timeline, this Trunks grows up under different circumstances. Everyone (except Goku) is still alive, With Vegeta still alive, this Trunks is trained by him. Like his best friend Goten, he is able to go super saiya-jin very early in life (before age 8). He's one year older than Goten and is the other, slightly more powerful half of the Fusion into Gotenks. Also, like Goten, he only attains super saiya-jin level 1 except as Gotenks where level 3 is reached. This Trunks becomes another main character in the GT series. He also takes over as President of the Capsule Corporation after his mother and is a reserved gentleman unlike his father. In GT, it appears he can briefly hold super saiya-jin level 2 (Baby saga), but viable proof of this is limited. Bra: Second child of Vegeta
and Bulma and is Trunks' little sister with a 13 year difference
between them. She's a year older than Pan. Half saiya-jin, she
has the potential to reach super saiya-jin but she doesn't seem
to be a fighter so it is never known if she does or not. Her
specialty is shopping and is a look alike of her mother when
she was younger. She is also "daddy's little girl"
and has him wrapped around her little finger. Krillin: Goku's best friend and sparring partner. Both trained at the same time under Master Roshi at the Kame House. Krillin is a family friend and is even Gohan's sparring partner now and then. He, Bulma, and Gohan went to Namek in search of the Namekian dragonballs when Gohan was a little boy. Krillin eventually marries Android 18 and they have a daughter named Marron. Krillin is probably the strongest of the regular humans. He also was the one who teased a teenage Gohan about Videl and dating, probably getting payback for Gohan being the first to figure out Krillin's crush on 18 and making it obvious to the rest of the group. Android 18: Originally designed to destroy Goku, she ends up absorbed by Cell. During the fight against Gohan, a severely injured Cell spits 18 back out. Krillin develops a crush on her and eventually wins her over despite her attitude and they marry. Later she's a rather docile and quiet lady into fashion and her family. Marron (child): Daughter of Krillin and Android 18. She resembles both parents though has her mother's eyes and hair. She's shy, quite, introverted, and very dependent on her parents even later in life. Marron is roughly three years younger than Trunks, two from Goten, and ten years older than Bra, and eleven years older than Pan. Master Roshi: An old perverted man who's still very skilled and wise in martial arts. He is the master of the Kame style of fighting and invented the "Kamehameha". He trained Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and perhaps others. He lives on a little island with a talking sea turtle and loves looking at girls, magazines of girls, and any real girls he get a hold of. His home is referred to as the "Kame House." Piccolo: A Namekian who once has a split personality. Piccolo is a solitary and very intelligent fighter who has preference for meditating. He is the first to see Gohan's potential as a fighter and is the guy responsible for making Gohan a warrior. Highly intelligent, Piccolo finds his first friend in Gohan and is always there for him when needed. He is also the first to realize that Gohan isn't like a normal saiya-jin in his desire to fight, but rather the opposite. Not even Goku realizes this until Piccolo mentions it to him. Piccolo serves as "god" of the Earth for a short time but finds the position not to his liking. Piccolo is the next strongest fighter after the two full-blooded saiya-jin, Goku & Vegeta. The half saiya-jins such as Gohan, Trunks, and Goten slack in their training during peace time while Piccolo, Goku, and Vegeta are constantly seeking to raise their levels. Yamcha: Yet another from the original Dragonball series. Yamcha was originally a desert bandit. He likes girls, but becomes shy and weird around them. He also plays professional baseball during peacetime. He dated Bulma for a while or at least until she developed an interest in the saiya-jin prince, Vegeta. After, he despises her and even calls her a "bitch" from time to time though he can tolerate her presence in the same room when need be. He also harbors aggression and anger towards Vegeta, but is wise enough to not challenge him. Oolong: The perverted pig who is another member of the original Dragonball series. He's often trolling about with Master Roshi looking for peeks at girls. It's uncertain where he lives though he's usually seen at the Kame House. Puar: The little blue cat that can fly and is Yamcha's "best friend" and partner. Tien: The 3-eyed warrior who was orginally evil and gave young Goku a hard time during a tournament. He seems to be Chaozu's bodyguard of sorts and the two are almost always seen together. He's a strong warrior, but will not join in battles that he knows he will have little chance of winning or surviving. Chaozu: The little warrior that looks like a porcelin doll. Chaozu is always around Tien and the two trained under the same master. He's also a good cook. He too, does not join in battles where he stands little chance of success. Hiaya dragon (Icarus): This is Gohan's boyhood playmate. Gohan saved this little purple dragon from death in a forest fire and the two remained friends for a while after. It is uncertain what became of the dragon after a certain point since the dragon isn't seen again as Gohan enters his late boyhood stages. Yajirobe: The cowardly warrior with a big appetite and ego. He's often seen with Korin the cat.He can be given credit for a few bold moves however, such as being the one to have managed to slice of Vegeta's tail while Vegeta was distracted in battle with Goku. Sharpener: A class mate of Gohan's in Orange Star High. Sharpener is a jock and has a crush on Videl though Videl has no interest in him at all. Sharpener is also the one who's the first to tease Gohan about his perfect exam scores and being a country boy. He later picks on Gohan after finding out he's the Great Saiyaman and becomes jealous of Gohan and Videl's friendship. Ireeza: Another class mate of Gohan's. She is one of Videl's best friends. She originally shows interest in Gohan when he first arrives in Orange Star High. Gohan's assigned seat in class is beside her. She seems to back off once she realizes that Videl also develops an interest in Gohan. Angella: a flaky, ditzy red-head classmate of Gohan's. She is also Gohan's first date when she blackmails him. She says she knows his secret and will tell if he doesn't go on a date with her. He agrees thinking she saw him transform from the Great Saiyaman outfit once when he was late to school. Turns out the secret that she knows is that she saw Gohan changing from gym class once and got sight of his teddybear underwear. Uub: Orginally the most evil of the Buus, but was reincarnated into a good, pure boy, Uub joins the other fighters in defending the Earth in GT. He is trained by Goku at the end of DBZ and is as strong if not stronger than the saiya-jin hybrids such as Gohan. Buu (fat): Fat Buu was the "good side" to all the Buus. Mr. Satan orginally befriends him and he eventually becomes a family friend to the Briefs family as well. He was once seen helping Bulma shop. He lives with Mr. Satan and the two are virtually inseparable. Heavenly friends: Kame: The old, wise- better side from Piccolo. He is also the long standing God of the Earth until the Android problem forces him to fuse back with Piccolo. Mr. PoPo: All-knowing caretaker of God's Palace. Dende: a Namekian child originally rescued by Gohan and Krillin from Vegeta's rampage on Namek, Dende becomes a close friend of Gohan's and eventually is the chosen new God of the Earth. Kaio-sama (King Kai): Goku's trainer in Heaven and God of the Northern Galaxy. He also has a telepathic link to Goku and informs him of any impending danger for the Earth or galaxy. He also trains Yamcha, Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, and Chaozu when they die. He lives with a little ape named "Bubbles" and a cricket guy named "Gregory" (names from the Americanized version). Kaio-shin: The God of Gods. He is the last survivor and youngest out of four other Kaio-shins. He is the first to be aware of the impending Buu danger and seeks Goku's help only to realize that Gohan has as much potential as his father(who's actually dead at the time). He saves Gohan's life and takes him to his sacred planet to train him with the Zed Sword. Eventually the sword breaks during a test and releases another Kaio-shin. The old Kaio-shin is a perverted old man, but still very powerful. He gives Gohan a powerup the transforms Gohan into Mystic Gohan, a level stronger than Goku's super saiya-jin 3 without Gohan even going super saiya-jin. The mystic level is actually Gohan's untapped "hidden powers" now brought under conscious control by Gohan. Unfortunately though, the level is too dangerous for Gohan's body and the entire universe. If Gohan powered up accidently into something like super saiya-jin with the mystic level at the same time, he could blow himself, the Earth, and perhaps the galaxy and more up. Kibit: Young Kaio-shin's assistant. He has tremendous healing powers and is the one to revitalize Gohan twice. Eventually he becomes jealous of Gohan when Kaio-shin realizes how powerful Gohan is and can be. Soon after though, Kibit begins to like the saiya-jin teen and supports Kaio-shin's descisions with him. Kibit and young Kaio-shin eventually fuse into one being after demonstrating the power of the poterra earrings. This is a permanent fusion but they weren't told that until after they already did it. Korin: The white talking cat who is able to create those magical beans of healing. His sidekick and delivery boy is Yajirobe, who often is the one to hand Goku or another the magical beans. Korin is wise and knowledgeable though a bit attitudnal. King Enma: The guy in Heaven who determines which way a dead being goes (heaven or hell). He has a liking of Goku who seems to drop in rather frequently from one mishap or another. |
